Primary Function:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and tech-savvy *E-commerce Assistant* to join our growing team. This position requires a focus on *Shopify*, but it also involves managing other e-commerce platforms. You will work closely with our marketing, design, and product teams to ensure smooth day-to-day e-commerce operations, including product uploads, content management, order fulfillment, and customer service support. Your role is vital to enhancing the online shopping experience and driving sales performance.

Key Performance Areas:

  • Shopify Management: Handle day-to-day management of our Shopify stores, including product uploads, pricing updates, product descriptions, and inventory management.
  • Order Processing: Monitor and process online orders, ensuring timely fulfillment, shipping coordination, and post-purchase support.
  • Website Maintenance: Collaborate with the development team to implement front-end updates, troubleshoot site issues, and optimize user experience on Shopify and other e-commerce platforms.
  • Customer Support: Provide prompt and courteous customer service via email, chat, and social media, resolving order issues and answering product inquiries.
  • Marketing Support: Assist the marketing team with setting up and optimizing product listings, promotional banners, and discount codes on Shopify. Contribute to email marketing campaigns and social media promotions.
  • Data Analysis: Track key performance metrics (e.g., traffic, conversion rates, abandoned carts), generate reports, and provide actionable insights to improve sales performance.
  • SEO and Content Management: Optimize product descriptions and website content for SEO to drive organic traffic. Manage product photography and ensure content consistency across the platform.
  • Multi-Platform Management: Support other e-commerce platforms like Amazon, eBay, or WooCommerce as needed, ensuring product information and inventory are consistent across channels.

 

Core Competency Framework:

Knowledge

  • Technical Skills: Proficient in Shopify (including apps and integrations), experience with Google Analytics, SEO, and knowledge of HTML/CSS is a plus.
  • Customer Service Skills: Ability to provide excellent customer support through various channels.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong organizational skills with a focus on accuracy and efficiency in managing online product listings, promotions, and orders.
  • Analytical Thinking: Ability to analyze sales data, generate reports, and suggest improvements for optimizing the store’s performance.
  • Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills to collaborate with teams and support customers.

Experience

  • Experience 2-4 years of experience working in e-commerce, with a strong focus on Shopify
  • Hands-on experience with marketing software, working effectively within Google suite is a plus.
  • Good in Arabic and English (written and spoken), excellent communication and presentation skills.

Attitude

  • Familiarity with additional e-commerce platforms (e.g., Amazon, WooCommerce, eBay) is a plus.
  • Experience in digital marketing, including email marketing and social media advertising.
  • Basic understanding of product photography and image editing tools.
  • Detail-oriented that help in closely monitor the business functions and prioritize for success. 
  • A self-starter who takes initiative, you have an interest in improving processes and scaling activity. You're energized by helping to solve problems and breaking down barriers.
